Huawei announces 7-inch Mediapad M2 7.0 tablet
Huawei, earlier this year announced the 10-inch Mediapad M2 10.0 tablet at CES 2016 and now in China, the company has unveiled a smaller 7-inch MediaPad M2 7.0 tablet.
The Huawei Mediapad M2 7.0 sports a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 display and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 614 processor backed by Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. It comes in either 16GB or 32GB storage variants, with microSD card support for storage expansion. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based EMUI 3.1.
For photography, it gets 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. It comes with dual-SIM slots and supports 4G LTE (optional) along with other usual suite of connectivity. Also on-baord is a fingerprint scanner which is embedded into the power button on the side. The tablet is fueled by 4360mAh battery.
The Huawei Mediapad M2 7.0 16GB storage + LTE model is priced at CNY 1599 ($245 | Rs. 16,400) and the 32GB storage + LTE model costs CNY 1799 ($276 | Rs. 18,500). There is no word on the pricing of WiFi only model and global roll out yet, however it will be available for order in China from May 5.
