Samsung outs Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) tablet running Android Marshmallow
After introducing Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2016) and upgraded Galaxy Tab S2, Samsung has now silently announced Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) Android tablet by listing it on the company's Germany website. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with Kids Mode 4.0, which lets parents set time period and the apps that kids can use. The tablet comes in WiFi only and LTE variants.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2016 comes with 10.1-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) TFT PLS display and is powered by 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 200GB).
For imaging, it gets 8-megapixel rear camera (w/ LED flash, f/1.9 aperture) and 2-megapixel front camera for video calling. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+ (optional), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS+GLONASS. It is backed by a beefy 7300mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is priced at 289 Euro ($329 | Rs. 22,000) for the WiFi model, and 349 Euros ($397 | Rs. 26,500) for the LTE model. The tablet will be available in Germany and few other European markets from June 2016.
