Google Now on Tap gets text select and image search features

Google has updated its Now on Tap functionality with the addition of text select and image search feature for Android devices.

After the update you can select a text in an article app, email or chat to get precise information on the selected tap. After highlighting a text in an article or in email, the feature will fetch information cards for you.

In addition you'll also be able to search for information about any image that you have in your galley, or a new photo captured via the device's camera. To get information regarding the image, you have to select a photo and long press the home button.

Also, for certain images or objects you will be able to get information via your phone's camera app in real time. You just have to point you camera on any popular building, movie poster or magazine, and long press the home button to activate Now on Tap, to get information for the same.

The updated Google Now on Tap features are available for devices running both Android Marshmallow and Android N.
