LG announces 8-inch G Pad III 8.0 tablet
LG has announced its latest mid-range tablet, the G Pad III 8.0 in Korea. It is also now available for purchase in U.S and Canada.
The LG G Pad III 8.0 flaunts an 8-inch WVGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage, which can expanded by inserting a microSD card (up to 64GB).
It gets 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE (optional), WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-A. With USB Type-A port, you'll be able to connect USB flash drives to the tablet. It is backed by 4800mAh battery.
The tablet comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and features Reader Mode, which reduces the amount of blue light being emitted by the screen, so that you don't strain your eyes when reading or browsing for a long time. The Reader Mode can be enabled by pressing the Q button on the side of the tablet.
The LG G Pad III 8.0 is priced at $240 (Rs. 16,000) in the U.S and 330,000 Won in Korea. In Canada the tablet costs CAD 240 and is available from wireless carriers Rogers and Fido.
