Micromax Canvas Unite 4, Canvas Unite 4 Pro with Indus OS launched


Micromax has launched the successor of Unite 3, the Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro in India. The phone runs Indus OS 2.0, which is based on Android, and offers support for 12 languages, text-to-speech technology in six Indian language, Indus swipe feature, Indus-to-Indus free SMS service and App Bazaar (app marketplace). Both phone also get inbuilt runtime transliteration feature, that works offline as well.

The Unite 4 runs Android Marshmallow based Indus OS, while the Unite Pro 4 runs Android Lollipop based Indus OS, and will be getting Android Marshmallow update in the coming weeks.

Coming to the specifications, the Canvas Unite 4 features 5-inch HD IPS display, quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt expandable storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera (front and back LED flash), fingerprint scanner (integrated into home button), dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and 2500mAh battery.



The Canvas Unite 4 Pro comes with 5-inch HD IPS display, quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal expandable storage, 8MP rear camera (w/ LED flash), 5MP front camera, fingerprint scanner (back), dual SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3900mAh battery.

The Micromax Canvas Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro are priced at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,499 respectively. The Canvas Unite 4 will be available through major retail stores, and the Canvas Unite 4 Pro will be exclusively available via Snapdeal from June 30.
