Samsung Galaxy Note7 launch set for August 2
Samsung has officially announced that its upcoming Galaxy Note series phablet will be called Galaxy Note7 and will be unpacked on August 2. Samsung says that they skipped Galaxy Note6 name in favor of Galaxy Note7, to bring it in line and complement the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge to unify the product portfolio in order to minimize confusion.
The company has also said that the Note7 will come with new S Pen features and a large screen: "With added functionality of the S Pen and large screen, the Galaxy Note7 is a powerful instrument for achievement and self-expression, and is made for those who want to get the most from their phones – and their lives. Galaxy Note7 will help people do more in work, at home and everywhere in between. We can’t wait to tell you more about it!"
The Galaxy Note 7 Unpacked event takes place in New York at 11:00 a.m. EDT (8:30 PM IST) on August 2, and there will be simultaneous events at Rio de Janerio at noon and in London at 4pm.
