Android Nougat rolling out to Nexus devices, Pixel C tablet
Android 7.0 Nougat has finally arrived. After five months of testing, Android 7.0 Nougat is now available for select Nexus devices and Google's Pixel C tablet.
The update will rolled out over-the-air in phases to Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C and General Mobile 4G (Android One). As the roll-out is in phases it will take sometime to reach everyone. If you don't want to wait, you can manually update your Nexus devices by flashing factory images.
Initially known as Android N, Google took everyone by surprise, when it announced the latest iteration of Android back in March, ahead of Google I/O. The name Nougat was confirmed in June.
Android Nougat brings several features like multi-window support, notification enhancements, data saver, background optimizations, improved doze mode, VR Mode for Daydream-ready phones, 100 new languages and 25 locales and more and direct boot. For the full list of features you can check Google's official page.
