RDP ThinBook at Rs. 9,999 is the cheapest 14.1-inch Windows 10 laptop


Hyderabad based, RDP, an Indian IT hardware and mobility devices manufacturing company has introduced a 14-inch Windows 10 ultra slim laptop dubbed RDP ThinBook in India. The laptop is developed in strategic association with Microsoft and Intel, and is aimed at entry-level consumers looking for an affordable laptop.

Priced at Rs. 9,999 RDP claims the the ThinBook to be the most affordable laptop in the country with 14-inch screen. Despite the low cost, the features has not been compromised said the company.

The RDP ThinBook sports 14.1-inch 1366 x 768 LED backlit display and is powered by Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

It has VGA camera, dual HD speakers, a micro HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 port. For wireless connectivity it offers Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. It weighs 1.4kg and is backed by 10000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 8.5 hours of battery life.

At Rs. 9,999, RDP ThinBook will be competing with the likes of 11.6-inch iBall CompBook Excelance, and Micromax Canvas Lapbook L1660. All offer almost similar configuration, but RDP ThinBook has a bigger 14.1-inch screen.

RDP also plans to release a more powerful model of ThinBook as well. The company also has more affordable products lined up for release including an 8-inch Gravity tablet, 10.1-inch ThinBook 2-in-1 laptop, ThinBook Convertible and Plug PC (PC-on-Stick), all powered by Intel processors and running Windows 10.
