Lenovo launches VoLTE enabled A6600, A6600 Plus, A7700 with Android Marshmallow


Lenovo has launched a trio of affordable VoLTE enabled smartphones in India dubbed A6600, A6600 Plus and A7700. The new phones runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and similar to Moto devices will include minimum bloatware to give users more storage and speed. They also have dual-SIM slots, expandable storage, support for 4G networks and are compatible with Reliance Jio.

The Lenovo A6600 has 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor w/ Mali T720 GPU, 1GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 8MP rear camera w/ LED flash, 2MP front facing camera and 2300mAh battery.

The A6600 Plus specs are identical to A6600, but offers more RAM – 2GB RAM.

The A7700 comes with a bigger 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor w/ Mali T720 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. For photography, there's 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. It sports dual speakers on the back with Waves Maxxaudio technology and is backed by 2900mAh battery.

The Lenovo A6000 and A6000 Plus are priced at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,499, and will be available at retail stores starting mid-September. The A7700 is priced at Rs. 8,540 and will go on sale September end.

  1. The new Lenovo A6600 will be available at Rs. 6,999, while the Lenovo company has not announced pricing for the A6600 Plus. Both these phones will be available via retail outlets starting mid-September and will come in Matte White and Matte Black colors.
