ZTE unveils Axon 7 mini with 5.2-inch display, Snapdragon 617 SoC
ZTE at IFA 2016, Berlin has introduced a compact version of its flagship Axon 7 smartphone dubbed Axon 7 mini. In terms of design nothing has changed and the phone flaunts the same premium metal unibody design, but the form factor has slightly decreased. Even the specs have been toned downed making it a mid-range phone.
ZTE touts that Axon 7 mini that has "the highest quality audio experience available in smartphones today.". It comes with a dedicated audio processor from AKM, which helps drive the dual front facing stereo spears powered by Dolby Atmos sound, delivering movie theateresque 7.1 surround sound, making the Axon 7 mini powerful enough to use a standalone speaker.
As for the specs, the ZTE Axon 7 mini has a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with 424ppi and is powered by Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, which can be increased via microSD card.
It comes with 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel selfie camera. There's a fingerprint scanner at the back below the camera. Connectivity duties are handled by hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and USB Type-C. It runs Android Marshmallow and is fueled by 2750mAh battery.
The ZTE Axon 7 mini is priced at € 299 ($333 | Rs. 22,000) and will be released in U.S., Russia, Germany, Spain, Poland, Japan, Australia, India and Saudi Arabia this month.
