Asus ZenPad Z10 with 9.7-inch display, 3GB RAM, 4G LTE announced


Asus unviled the 7.8-inch ZenPad Z8 tablet back in June this year. Now the company has announced a bigger and upgraded 9.7-inch model dubbed ZenPad Z10 (ZT500KL). The tablet flaunts a premium metal design and will be exclusive to US operator Verizon Wireless. Apart from the bigger display, the ZenPad Z10 also has more RAM, storage, battery and improved front camera, compared to the 7.8-inch model.

The Asus ZenPad 10 has 9.7-inch (QXGA (2048 x 1536 pixels) IPS display and is powered by hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor backed by Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).

The tablet sports 8MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with ZenUI on top and supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1. GPS+GLONASS and USB Type-C connectivity. A beefy 7800mAh battery keeps it running.

The Asus ZenPad Z10 is priced at $329.99 (Rs. 22,000) and will be available via Verizon retail stores starting October 13. It will also be offered on-contract at $13.74 per month for 2 years.
