HP refreshes Envy 13 notebook with Kaby Lake processor; outs Envy AIO 27 PC


In addition to the upgraded Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop, HP also announced refreshed Envy 13 notebook and a new Envy All-in-One 27 PC. Both run Windows 10 and support Windows Hello for facial recognition (via webcam) to log in to the PCs.

The refreshed HP Envy Notebook 13 gets Intel's latest Kaby Lake processors, with the option of Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs. It also comes with a bigger battery of 57.8 Whr (versus 45 Whr), which promises up to 14 hours of battery life. The notebook also supports fast charging offer up to 12 hours of run time with a 90 minute charge.

The notebook sports a 13.3-inch display and comes in two options: Full HD (non touch) and QHD + IPS touchscreen. It supports up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TN PCIe SSD. Other features include HD webcam, Bang & Olufsen dual speakers, microSD card reader, 2 x USB 3.1 port, a USB Type-C 3.1 port, an HDMI port, WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth.

The HP Envy will be available later this month at HP.com for a starting price of $849 for the Core i5 model with 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD storage and Full HD display.


The HP Envy All-in-One 27 sport a 27-inch widescreen QHD IPS Micro Edge display and is powered by Intel's sixth gen Skylake processor with the option of Core i5 or Core i7 and can be configured with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB HDD + 128GB SDD. It packs NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 950M graphics card (optional) with dedicated 4GB RAM which should help you run Photoshop or do some light video processing. Other features include HD webcam, 4 x USB 3.0 ports, a USB 3.1 Type-C port, HDMI (out & in), 802.11ac WiF, Bluetooth 4.2 and Quad front facing speaker powered by Bang & Olufsen.

The HP Envy AIO 27 with Core i7/1TB HDD/16GB RAM/GTX 950M will set you back by $1599 and will be available from October 16. There's also a 2TB version that is now available on HP.com for $1699. The low-end model with Core i5 is priced at $1249 and will hit the market November 2.
