Xiaomi backed Yi Technology to showcase Yi 4K+ action camera, Yi Erida drone at CES


Xiaomi will be making its first ever CES appearance in 2017 taking place in Las Vegas, U.S, to showcase some interesting new products. Out of the expected products, Xiaomi backed Yi Technology has announced that it will introduce Yi 4K+ action camera and Yi Erida drone at CES next month.

The Yi 4K+ action camera is an upgrade over Yi 4K, capable of recording 4K videos at 60 frames per second, which is first for an action camera, compared to the current 4K at 30 frames per second. It sports 12MP Sony IMX377 image sensor and has wide-angle lens with f/2.8 aperture. 

It has 21.9-inch LCD touch display with 640 x 360 resolution protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass Retina to resist scratches. Other features include 5GHz WiFi, WiFi stream support, electronic stabilization (EIS), dual microphone and two houts of battery life. It is priced at $250 (Rs. 17,000).



The Yi Erida drone is claimed to be the world's first mainstream full carbon-fibre smart drone, and also the fastest tricopter in the market. It can reach maximum spped of up to 75mph (120kph) and deliver up to 40 minutes of flight time. 

It features Yi 4K action camera;  a gimbal sytstem, that will keep the camera steady for smooth video shooting and an advanced radar & sensor system with built-in laser scanner for safety. The drone can be controlled via smartphone using a dedicated mobile app, which includes camera setting while the drone is in the air. 

Along with Yi 4K+ and Yi Erida drone, Yi Technology will also show off home security cameras, dash camera and Yi M1, a professional grade mirrorless camera at CES 2017.
