Asus outs ZenPad 3S 10 LTE with Snapdragon 650, 7800mAh battery
Asus is refreshing its ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M) tablet by adding LTE support. Called ZenPad 3S 10 LTE (Z500KL) it also gets a new Qualcomm processor instead of MediaTek used in Z500M, and a bigger battery.
The ZenPad 3S 10 LTE features 9.7-inch QXGA (2048 x 1536 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.8GHz Qualcomm hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor paired with Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM. It comes with 32GB storage, microSD card slot for storage expansion, 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
Running Android Marshmallow, the tablet supports 4G LTE, USB Type-C, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity. A 7800mAh battery keeps the lights on, which is rated to last up to 16 hours on normal usage. The battery is backed by Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology so it can be quickly charged.
There's also a fingerprint sensor baked into the home button, stereo speakers and support for optional Asus Z Stylus which supports up to 1024 pressure levels and can be used for taking notes or drawing. The tablet comes encased in an aluminum body that measures 242.3 x 164.2 x 6.75mm, weighs 490g and comes in Slate Grey hue.
The Asus ZenPad is priced at MYR 1799 ($405 | Rs. 28,000) in Malaysia and comes bundled with a protective cover and custom stand.
