Honor 6X with dual-rear cameras lands in India


Huawei sub-brand Honor has launched the dual-camera totting Honor 6X in India starting at Rs. 12,999, bringing in phone with dual-cameras at a budget.

The Honor 6X will be available in two variants — 3GB RAM/32GB storage priced at Rs. 12,999 and 4GB RAM/64GB storage priced at Rs. 15,999. 

As mentioned earlier the Honor 6X sports dual-rear camera — 12MP Sony IMX386 PDAF unit + secondary 2MP unit for achieving depth of field and background blur— with an LED flash and PDAF. For selfies there's 8MP front camera. 


The Honor 6X comes with 5.2-inch Full HD IPS 2.5 curved glass display, octa-core Kirin 655 processor (w/ Mali T832 MP2 graphics) and expandable storage. A 3340mAh battery runs the show, that promises up to 2.15 days of battery life on normal usage or 1.5 days of heavy usage. 

It runs Android Marshmallow based EMUI 4.1 and the brand promises Nougat update (EMUI 5.0) by Q2, 2017. Other features include 4G VoLTE, hybrid dual-SIM slots, fingerprint scanner and fast charging technology.

The smartphone sports a premium metal unibody design that comes in Gold, Silver and Gray paint job, measures 150.9 x 72.6 x 8.2mm and weighs 162g.

Both the variants of Honor 6X will be available exclusively through Amazon India. The 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant will be available via flash sale, scheduled for February 2. Registration for the sale is now open. The 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant will go on sale sometime in February.

Launch offers (T&C applied) include additional 10 percent cashback with SBI credit cards, 14GB of free data with Airtel on select recharges and 80 percent off on Kindle e-books (up to Rs. 300).
