Lava launches entry level A50 and A55 3G smartphones


It's 2017, and Lava is still sticking with outdated specs. The company's latest offering, the Lava A50 and A55 are entry-level smartphone running Android Marshmallow with only 3G support. They also share the same design and specs sheet except for the RAM.

The Lava A55 packs 1GB RAM, whereas the A50 has only 512MB RAM. Both feature a smaller 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 8GB internal storage and microSD card slot for storage expansion. There's 5MP camera at the back with LED flash, and a VGA front facing camera with LED flash as well.

They come with 1550mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to nine hours of talk time on 3G. In terms of connectivity, it includes supports for dual-SIMs, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS.

The Lava A50 and A55 are listed on the company website at Rs. 3,999 and 4,399 respectively, and will be available in Black and Silver colors.
