Samsung launches entry level Galaxy J1 (4G) with VoLTE support at Rs.6,890


Samsung has added a new member to its Galaxy J lineup in India with the launch of Galaxy J1 (4G). The budget offering supports 4G VoLTE and comes features like S Bike Mode, Ultra Data Saving mode and S Power planning. The phone sports metal frame and a plastic back panel, which is removable, a rare feature in phones now a days.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 (4G) has a compact 4.5-inch FWVGA (800 x 480 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7727SE processor further aided by Mali 400 GPU and 1GB RAM. There's 8GB storage on-board, further expandable via microSD card.

It comes with 5MP f/2.2 rear camera with LD flash and 2MP f/2.2 front shooter for selfies and video calling. Apart from 4G LTE, there's support for dual-SIMs, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. Running the show is Android Marshmallow and a 2050mAh battery.

Priced at Rs. 6,890, the Samsung Galaxy J1 (4G) will be available from offline retail stores across the country in Gold, Black and White hues.
