It's 2017, and Samsung has already begun aggressively pushing budget smartphones in the Galaxy A, C and J series to various markets, like last year. Just few days back, the South Korean tech giant launched the Galaxy the Galaxy J1 (4G) and Galaxy J2 Ace in India, and now the company has added a new member to the 'J' line up.

Samsung U.S has launched the Galaxy J3 Emerge exclusively for subscribers of Sprint, Boost and Virgin Mobile telecom operators. Details of the handset first appeared last month.

Running Android Marshmallow Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge has 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 1.5GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card. For photography there's 5MP f/1.9 rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front facing camera. Connectivity features are 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS, and a 2600mAh keeps the phone running.

The Galaxy J3 Emerge is up for pre-order in the U.S for $235 (Rs. 16,000) and will be available from January 23. The handset is expected to launch globally as Galaxy J3 2017 soon.

  1. Thanks for sharing your information.Samsung Galaxy J3 build quality looks quite simple with bland, matte plastic everywhere you look. However, it is definitely well made. Source: Galaxy j3 Emerge Case
