Asus ZenFone Live with real-time beautification cameras announced


The Asus ZenFone 3 Go, which was leaked earlier this month is now official as the ZenFone Live, which Asus claims to be the world's first smartphone with hardware-optimized real-time beautification technology.

The ZenFone Live is a camera-centric smartphone aimed at selfie lowers and sports a front facing flash for brighter selfies under low-light environment. The phone comes with BeautyLive app, that lets you live stream your selfie video to third-party social network apps, while applying beautification filter on the face. The phone also offers dual MEMS microphone to eliminate background noise and enhance voice pickup, broadcast sessions. There's also a Beautification app that lets you edit facial features inlcuing skin color, sizes of eyes, remove skin blemishes and more.

Coming to the specs, the ZenFone Live features 5-inch HD IPS display with bluelight filter. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB storage variants, and a microSD card for storage expansion.

For photography, it gets 13MP f/2.0 rear camera with LED flash, depth of field mode and manual mode. The selfie camera is a 5MP f/2.2 unit and features low light mode. Connectivity options include dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It runs Android Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.5 on top and is fueled by 2650mAh battery.

The Asus ZenFone Live comes in Shimmer Gold, Rose Pink and Navy Black colors. The pricing and availability details are yet to be announced.
