Lenovo Yoga A12 is a budget version of Yoga Book starting at $299

Lenovo's Yoga Book was an innovative and unique ultra-thin Windows 10/Android 2-in-1 tablet. Instead of a traditional keyboard the 2-in-device, comes with an innovative flat touch screen keyboard called Halo that can digitize scribble via real pen and paper.  It carried an higher price tag of $499 (Rs. 33,000) for the Android version.

Now Lenovo is launching a new budget-friendly and simplified model of the Yoga Book, called Yoga A12, with a larger display and toned down specs.

The Lenovo Yoga A12 sports 12.2-inch HD touch display and 360-degree hinge, to convert the device to a laptop, tent, stand and tablet mode. It comes with Intel Atom x5 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and 13 hours of battery life.

Similar to the Yoga Book, the Lenovo Yoga A12 also comes with the Halo touch keyboard, and will be offered in Android version only. However, the keyboard is stripped of its sketching abilities, as it does not get pen support.

For comparison sake the expensive Yoga Book (Android) comes with 10.1-inch Full HD display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and 15.5 hours of battery life.

The Lenovo Yoga A12 will be available on Lenovo's website on February 8 starting at $299 (Rs. 20,000) in Gunmetal Grey or Rose Gold hues.
