Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, Note5 gets Android Nougat in India


The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and Note5 India units have started receiving Android Nougat treatment.

The Nougat update for Galaxy S6 edge+ brings the new firmware version to G928GDDU3CQC7, while the update for Galaxy Note5 brings the new firmware version N920GDDU3CQC7, and is being rolled out over the air. Since it's a major software update, it weighs around 1GB, so make sure to stay connected to WiFi, while downloading, and your phone has 50 percent charge.

As per the change log, Nougat update for Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ brings new UX and various performance improvements. It also comes with new features like customisable quick settings, split-screen multi-tasking, improved Google keyboard, improved doze mode, Samsung Pass, and includes Android security patch for March.

The same update is also available in neighboring countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and more.
