Acer Swift 1, Swift 3 are ultraslim, lightweight notebooks for the masses


Acer at its  next@acer global press conference in New York introduced two new Swift series ultrathin notebooks Swift 1 and Swift 3.

The notebooks feature fingerprint scanner to support Microsoft's Windows Hello function for fast and secure logins, Acer's BluelightShield to control how much blue light is emitted from screen for reducing eye strain and Acer TrueHarmony, to deliver life like audio for a richer and immersive media enjoyment experience.

The Acer Swift 1 is a ultrathin budget notebook aimed at student featuring 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display and is powered by Intel Pentium or Celeron processor with 4GB RAM, and comes in SSD or eMMC storage options of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB. It offer up to 10 hours of battery life, weighs 1.3kg, and sports all-metal chassis which comes with the option Pure Silver, Luxury Gold and Sakura Pink color.

The Swift 1 series will be available in North America in June with prices starting at $329; in EMEA in June with prices starting at €399; and in China in April starting at ¥3,499.



The Acer Swift 3 also sports a sleek and lightweight design weighing 1.8kg and sporting a sturdy brushed-aluminum body and offers powerful performance that's ideal for getting most of the things done.

It comes with the options of 14-inch or 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display and is equipped with up to 7th generation Intel Core processor w/ Intel HD or NVIDIA GeForce graphics, up to 8GB RAM and storage options of storage options of either up to 512GB SSD or up to 1TB HDD. The notebook promises up to 10 hours of battery life and includes USB 3.1 Type-C port, an HD webcam w/ HDR, 2x2 MIMO 802.11ac WiFi and optional backlit keyboard w/ Precision Touchpad.

There's also a special edition of Swift 3 that sport a top cover with Vibrant Corning Gorilla Glass, providing the unique flexibility to customize the top cover with photo-realistic images that are highly durable and damage-resistant.

The Swift 3 series will be available in North America in June with prices starting at $599; in EMEA in June with prices starting at €649; and in China in April starting at ¥3,999.
