nubia Z17 with Snapdragon 835, 6GB RAM launch expected on June 1
ZTE's sub-brand nubia has released a couple of budget smartphones this year including the dual-camera toting nubia M2 and nubia Z17 mini and the battery-centric nubia N2.
Now the company is all set to lauch its flagship device boasting high-end specs.nubia has scheduled an event in China on June 1 to announce the nubia Z17, the brand's first flagship of the year, and the top-end version of nubia Z17 mini. The brand has also shared a poster, that reads "nubiaimagination" with the words letter "ai" highlighted in orange color, indicating that the phone will feature Artificial Intelligence (digital assistant) technology.
And ahead of the official announcement, the nubia Z17 have received TENAA certification, revealing the specs and design.
As seen in the image the nubia Z17 will feature a very thin bezels on the sides, metal-unibody design, dual-rear cameras, and rear mounted fingerprint scanner. It will have a thickness of 7.95mm, weigh 170g and come in Silver and Gold hues.
In terms of specifications, nubia Z17 is expected to come with 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, Qualcomm's powerful Snapdragon 835 Mobile platform, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage and 3100mAh battery.
The dual-camera setup on the back will be a 23MP monochrome + 23MP RGB sensor with OIS, dual-LED flash and 4K video recroding. The selfie camera is a 16MP unit.
Other specs include hybrid dual-SIM slots, IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C port and fast charging. It will run Android Nougat based nubia 7.1.1.
The aforementioned specs are most likely to be the final specs of the nubia Z17, as TENAA listings are reliable source for leaks. Details on the availability and pricing of the Nubia Z17 will be revealed next Thursday.
