Samsung launches Galaxy J3 (2017) in the US
Samsung has finally launched the first member of the budget Galaxy J 2017 line, the Galaxy J3 (2017) in the US exclusively for AT&T customers. The Galaxy J3 2017 was previously launched as J3 Emerge for subscribers of Sprint, Boost and Virgin Mobile and runs Android Nougat instead of Marshmallow. Apart from OS upgrade, the specs are the same.
The Galaxy J3 (2017) features 5-inch HD IPS display and powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor aided by Mali-T720 processor and 1.5GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).
It comes with 5MP f/1.9 rear camera with LED flash and 2MP f/2.2 camera on the front for selfies and video calling. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. A 2600mAh battery runs the show.
The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is priced at $179.99 (Rs. 11,500) without contract or $6 per month with 30 month contract with AT&T. It is now available in the US in Silver color. The phone is also expected to launch in India soon.
