Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 spotted on official website with Snapdragon 660


Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch a new flagship Redmi line smartphone with high-end specs. The Redmi Pro 2 has been subject of number of leaks and rumors, and was said to be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 660 processor. Now the device was found listed on the company's China website for a brief period, before being pulled down. 

As per the listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will have 5.5-inch OLED display and equipped with Snapdragon 660 processor and 4100mAh battery. It will come with 16MP dual rear cameras. 

Other specs like RAM, storage and front camera were not listed. However, according to rumors, the Redmi Pro 2 will have 5MP front camera and be available in 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage variants. It can also be expected the Redmi Pro 2 to feature all-metal unibody design with 2.5D curved glass display, fingerprint scanner and run Android Nougat.

For reference, the first Redmi Pro also had 5.5-inch OLED display, dual-cameras and 4100mAh battery, but was equipped with a MediaTek processor.

The listing also reveals that Redmi Pro 2 will be priced CNY 1199 ($173 | Rs. 11,150). It is expected to launch later this month or in early June
