Honor 9 with dual-cameras goes global
Huawei's Honor introduced the Honor 9 flagship in China earlier this month. Now it has released the device for the global markets. The Honor 9 that is launched for the global markets will have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while the 6GB RAM version will get a limited release.
The 4GB Honor 9 has been priced at £379 in the UK and €449.99 in Europe. It is already available from vmall.eu online in select markets, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE and UK. The 6GB RAM premium edition will be limited to France and Italy.
To recap the specs, just like previous Honor's flagship offering the Honor 9 comes with dual-cameras consisting of 20MP monochrome sensor and 12MP RGB sensor backed by features like 2x optical zoom, portrait mode and bokeh mode. The rear cameras also include dual-tone LED flash, 4K video recording capabilities, laser auto-focus and PDAF.
Honor 9 has a premium 3D metal and glass design, made up of 15 meticulously crafted layers. “Light dances off the back in dazzling and ever-changing ways, transforming natural light into the phone’s best accessory. A sandblasted metal bezel also surrounds the phone with a subtle metal aurora effect,” says Huawei. The color options include Sapphire Blue, Glacier Grey and Midnight Black.
The fingerprint sensor is now embedded into the home button. It runs Android Nougat based EMUI 5.1, and includes AKM Hi-Fi audio chip for an enhanced audio experience.
As for the other specs, Honor 9 features, 5.15-inch Full HD display, octa-core Kirin 960 processor, 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera and 3200mAh battery. Connectivity options are hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G w/ VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port.
