Asus launches Tinker Board in India for Rs. 4,750


Asus, earlier this year introduced Tinker Board, a Raspberry Pi like credit-card sized, single board tiny computer aimed at developers, hobbyists and DIY enthusiasts to develop and build low-cost, great-performing computers. Now the company has released the Tinker Board in India for Rs. 4,750.

The Tinker Board has exact same size as Raspberry Pi 3, but gets faster processor, more RAM, and supports 4K video and 192kHz/24-but audio.

It features 1.8GHz quad-core Rockchip RK3288 ARM Cortex-A17 processor with ARM Mali-T764 GPU, 2GB RAM and includes a microSD card slot for storage.

Connectivity options include 4 x USB 2.0 ports, micro USB port, HDMI out port, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity. There's also a 40-pin internal header for additional expansion options. Asus says the Tinker Board supports Debian Linux and Android

  • Power: Suggested 5V/2A AC adaptor via the micro-USB port (power adaptor not included)
  • OS: ASUS TinkerOS (Debian-based Linux) & Android Support
  • Dimensions/Weight: 85.60mm x 56mm x 21mm, 45g without included heatsink
Asus says the Tinker Board will be available from pan-India branches of Acro Engineering Company - Asus's offline partner - headquartered in New Delhi.
