Xiaomi India launches Lake Blue Edition of Redmi Note 4


Xiaomi is launching a special edition of its best-selling Redmi Note 4 in India. Dubbed Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue Edition, it is a part of Xiaomi's Bengaluru lake restoration project "Wake the lake" under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. And as a part of the initiative, parts of the proceeds from the sale of the special edition Redmi Note 4 will be contributed to various initiatives under the government's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue edition comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, with Blue paint job, which looks really cool. It is priced at Rs. 12,999 same the regular version, and will go on sale on Mi.com and Flipkart on September 4 at 12pm. It will also be available offline in Xiaomi's Mi Home stores.



To recap the specs, the Redmi Note 4 features 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 13MP f/2.0 PDAF rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, fingerprint scanner and 4100mAh battery. It runs Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8, but the software will get updated to Nougat based MIUI 9 in the near future.

The Redmi Note 4 is currently India's highest shipped smartphone, and Xiaomi has sold more than five million units in less than six months.
