Microsoft Office apps now available for all Chromebooks

Microsoft's Office apps such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint are already available for Google's Android platform. But the apps were not available for Chromebook, even though they supported Android apps. However, that's changing now, as Microsoft Office suite support is extending to ChromeOS.

Without making any formal announcement, Microsoft has silently made available its Office Suite of apps for all Chromebooks. It is available for download from the Play Store.

Chrome Unboxed a website well-known for Chromebook related stuff tried the app on a couple of Chromebook models including Samsung Chromebook Pro, Pixelbook, Acer Chromebook 15 and more, and the apps worked just fine.

All the 10.1-inch Chromebook models can create and edit documents for free of charge after logging in to Microsoft account. But anything large, you will need an Office 365 supscription to edit the documents.
