Zebronics Galaxy, a Bluetooth enabled portable speaker for Rs. 1,111

Zebronics, a brand well known for its range of accessories has launched a new Bluetooth enabled portable speaker called 'Galaxy'. The speaker comes with 1.5-inch drivers and 3W RMS output to offer clear highs, mids and strong bass.

The Zebronics Galaxy comes with a built-in microphone for taking calls, which connected to a phone, and you can easily switch between music and calls. It features rhythmic beat LED lights, up to 20KHz frequency range, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, microSD card slot, FM Radio, USB port, FM Radio,  and controls for audio play/pause, skip tracks and volume control. The speaker packs a 1200mAh battery, that offers up to five hours of audio playback. Since it has a portable size, it easily fits inside the bag or backpack.

Priced at Rs. 1,111 the Zebronics Galaxy is available from leading retail stores across the country and online at Snapdeal (for Rs. 910).

UE BOOM 2 waterproof 360-degree Bluetooth speaker launched for Rs. 15,995

Logitech sub-brand Ultimate Ears (UE) has launched the UE Boom 2 Bluetooth speaker in India. It offers an increased wireless range of up to 100 feet, and claims to be 25 percent louder that the first-gen Boom speaker.

The Ultimate Ears Boom speaker comes with buttons to play, pause and an innovative tap control that allows you to skip a song, without the need of phone. It has a Waterproof (IPX7) design and is capable of surviving up to 1m of water for up to 30 minutes and survive drops from up to five feet height.

You can also also use the companion app available for Android and iOS devices to pair the speaker with other UE speaker and double the sound output. The speaker is rated to deliver 15-hour continuous play battery life.

The Ultimate Ears UE BOOM 2 Bluetooth speaker is priced at Rs. 15,995 and comes in Cherrybomb, Phantom, GreenMachine, Tropical and BrainFreeze colors. It will be available via online and offline stores across the country soon.

Altec Lansing outs three rugged Bluetooth wireless speaker in India

American audio electronics company, Altec Lansing has made its Indian debut with the launch of three Bluetooth wireless speakers- Mini H20, Mini Life Jacket 2 and Life Jacket 2.

These speakers are IP67 rated for waterproof, dustproof and shockproof, and can also float in water. They are compatible with all Bluetooth-enabled devices, and offers voice confirmation after pairing or unpairing the device. They also have aux-in jacks to connect with non-Bluetooth devices and mics for speakerphone capability.

The Altec Lansing Mini H20 comes with Neodymium 2x1' drivers and comes with wireless range of 33 feet. It delivers six hours of battery life. It is designed to look sturdy and measures 2.25″ x 4.125″ x 1.0″ and Weighs 113g. The Mini Life Jacket 2 speaker comes with a 2 x 1.5' Neodymium driver offers 10 hours of battery life and 33 feet of wireless range. It measures and weighs a bit more that the H2O because of its bigger drivers at  2.5″ x 6.5″ x 2.375″ weighing 408g.

The Life Jacket 2 comes with Dual 2' Neodymium drivers along with one passive bass radiator. It supports NFC connectivity, has range of 33 feet and comes with better battery life of up to 16 hours. It can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices with its reversible charging capability. It is the biggest of three, measuring 3.125" x 7.5" x 2.825 and weighing 907g.

The Altec Lansing Mini H20 speaker has been priced at Rs. 3,600, Mini Life Jacket 2 at Rs. 8,000 and Life Jacket 2 costs Rs. 14,000. These new range of speakers are available exclusively from Flipkart and will subsequently be available on all leading online portals, Large Format Stores and various Retail outlets.

Genius SP 925 BT and SP 906 BT Bluetooth speakers launched

Peripheral and accessory maker Genius has launched two new portable Bluetooth-enabled speaker in India- the SP 925 BT and SP 906 BT. The SP 925 BT is a cube sized speaker with stereo output and the SP 906 BT is puck sized and is for acoustic music.

The SP 925 BT is a cube shaped speaker for listening music by placing it on the table top. There are two speakers housed on two sides of the cube, to give a surround sound experience. This speaker positioning gives a full range of 360 degrees sound experience. To get bass effect for music there is a passive radiator base driver sub woofer at the bottom. It comes with and in-built microphone, for hand free calls, and has Aux-in function to plug and play. The built-in battery gives close to 8 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge. The SP-925BT comes in five colors: Black, White, Brown, Purple, and Blue and is priced at Rs. 3600

The SP-906 BT puck sized speaker supports Bluetooth 4.1 and is aimed for acoustic music. It delivers crisp audio quality performance and deep bass performance. It is compact and easy to handle with one hand. The speaker comes with built in microphone which lets you make hands free calling. The 500mAh lithium battery offers 5 hours of  audio playback on a single charge. The The SP- 906 BT is available in  Black , Blue, Green , Orange and Red and is priced at Rs. 1500.

Creative Sound Blaster FRee splash proof Bluetooth speaker launched for Rs. 7,999

Creative launched Sound Blaster FRee, a portable wireless speaker in India, which has IPX4-certified splash proof design. The speakers offer dual-orientation playback for wider stereo when placed horizontally and 360-degree audio output when placed vertically.

It has two neodymium drivers and twin passive radiators to provide full-range audio. Connectivity options on the speaker include Bluetooth 4.0, USB and an aux-in port.

The speaker has an microSD card slot (up to 32GB supported), so it works as an standalone MP3 player for music playback. It also doubles up as a hands-free Bluetooth speakerphone when connected to smartphones. It comes with a rechargeable battery, which promises to deliver up to 10 hours of audio playback on a single charge

The Sound Blaster FRee portable speaker has been priced at Rs 7,999, and is now available on Amazon India.

LG introduces Music Flow P5 and SoundPop 360 Bluetooth speakers

LG introduced two new models of Bluetooth speakers, the Music Flow P5 (NP5550) and SoundPop 360 (NP7860). Both the speakers will be debuting IFA 2015 in Berlin.

LG Music Flow P5 supports LG's Auto Music Play feature which automatically begins music playback when the audio source comes within range. It has 10W output and has a 2100mAh battery that promises 15 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. It weighs just 600g.

LG SoundPop 360 has an unconventional design that is said to inspired by a coffee tumbler and is extremely portable. It is a perfect fit for any interior decorating scheme and blends with the user's other furniture and appliances. The cylindrical speaker has a 360 degree range, delivering clear audio even for large group. It promises up to 20 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Both speakers supports multi-point connectivity so that users can connect the speakers to three Bluetooth devices at the same time, and simultaneously control the devices and share music.The speakers also have TV Sound Sync feature that allows either speaker to be connected to a Bluetooth-compatible TV to create a personal home theater. 

LG's Music Flow P5 is priced at $99 and will be available sometime in October in the U.S. It will be also be available in India for Rs. 8,990. As for SoundPop 360, the pricing and availability details are not outed yet. Both speaker will be displayed at IFA 2015 from September 4-9.
