Letv Le Max Pro is the first smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 820


At CES 2016, Qualcomm CEO Steven Mollenkopf took the stage to show off the the first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 820, the Letv Le Max Pro.

The Snapdragon 820 can help boost wireless connectivity speed and beef up processing power, or both. It has 802.11ad multi-gigabit WiFi and X12 LTE with Cat. 12/13 download speeds of up to 600Mbps. 

In addition to being the first Snapdragon 820 powered smartphone, the Letv Le Max Pro is also the first to comes with Qualcomm Sense ID fingerprint technology, to offer  more secure, reliable alternative to capacitive-based fingerprint sensors. It also features Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 for up to 75% faster charging

The other features are said to be similar to Letv Le Max, that was introduced last year, including a 6.33-inch Quad HD display, 4G RAM, 64GB storage, 21-megapixel Sony IMX230 rear camera, 4 Ultrapixel front camera, NFC, USB Type-C and a 3400mAh battery.

The Letv Le Max Pro is expected to launch later this year. There is no word on the pricing.
