Nextbit Robin "cloud first" smartphone coming to India by April end


San Francisco based Nextbit plans to enter the India market later this month and launch its cloud-first smartphone Robin. The Robin was has been available in the U.S since September last year for $400.

The Nextbit Robin is the world's first cloud-first Android smartphone and comes embedded with 100GB of free cloud storage. The Robin runs Nextbit OS, a custom version of Android, and uploads all your data including media contents, apps and others to the cloud whenever the phone is connected to WiFi. If you've low storage space, Robin will automatically offload the apps and content you use the least from the phone and upload to the cloud.

Spec-wise, Nextbit Robin comes with 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display, Snapdragon 808 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuit-storage,  13MP rear & 5MP front camera, USB Type-C port, 4G LTE, NFC and a 2680mAh battery. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and also comes with a fingerprint sensor.

The exact launch date and pricing of Nextbit Robin is not known just yet.
