The Nextbit Robin has received Rs. 5,000 price cut and is now available for Rs. 14,999 on Flipkart, down from launch price tag of Rs. 19,999. Flipkart mentions that the offer is valid till the stocks last, but its expected to be a permanent price drop.
In addition Flipkart is also offering extra 10 percent off for HDFC bank credit card holders. You can also get up to Rs. 12,000 off by exchanging your old smartphone for the Robin.
Nextbit Robin's main USP is its built-in 100GB of cloud storage, that automatically offloads photos, least used apps and other contents to its cloud servers (given that you're connected to WiFi). Nextbit also announced that it will be rolling out August software update for the Robin next week. The August update will add support for backing up videos to the cloud. “Just like with photos, old videos you took but don’t watch can be archived to create more space on your Robin”. The update will also bring improved thermal tuning to keep the phone cool and includes Android's July security patch as well.

San Francisco- based Nextbit has finally launched its cloud-first smartphone, the Robin in India. The Robin is priced at Rs. 19,999, and will be exclusively available for purchase on Flipkart, with shipping set to start on May 30.
The phone was initially introduced in September last year as a kickstarter campaign, and have been available in the U.S since last year, and recently started shipping to Kickstarter backers in India.
Nextbit Robin runs a custom version of Android Marshmallow, dubbed Nextbit OS. The phone comes with 'Smart Storage', which offer 100GB cloud storage to save phone data. When the device is connected to WiFi, it syncs all your data including media, apps and other content to the cloud, to free space on the device. The four lights on the back alerts users when the Robin data is uploading to cloud.
