50,000 Xiaomi Redmi Note sold out in 6 seconds in India
Xiaomi's Redmi Note went on sale earlier today via Flipkart for Rs. 8,999. The sale was a big success as the Chinese smartphone manufacturer announced that 50,000 units of Xiaomi Redmi Note that was up for sale in the first flash sale via Flipkart went out of stock in just 6 second.
Registrations for the Xiaomi Redmi Note’s second flash sale on December 9th will commence at 6 pm today till December 8, midnight.
The Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 267ppi, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by 1.7GHz Mediatek MT6592 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM with 8GB Internal storage [expansion via microSD card up to 32GB]. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean wrapped under MIUI version 5.
Camera features include a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity features include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. The device is powered by 3,100mAh battery.
The 4G variant of the Redmi Note is slated to release later this month from Airtel flagship stores for Rs. 9,999. The Redmi Note 4G is a single- SIM device and is powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU paired with 2GB of RAM, and comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and the MIUI v5 skin.
