Xiaomi Redmi 1s resumes sale on Dec 23, Hugo Barra says
Soon after being permitted to import and sell Qualcomm chipset-based handsets in India, Hugo Barra, Xiaomi's Global VP on his Facebook page announced that Xiaomi and Flipkart will hold a flash sale on December 23 for the budget Redmi 1S. The registrations will soon be open.
Apart from the budget Redmi 1S, Barra also confirmed that Xiaomi will resume sales of its Redmi Note in India. Xiaomi will also bring the 4G variant of the Redmi Note soon to India. There is no exact date mentioned.
The dual-SIM Redmi 1S is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC and the single-SIM 4G LTE variant of the Redmi Note is powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU.
On December 8, Xiaomi was issued a legal notice from the Delhi High Court and was ordered to stop all imports and sales in India, following complaints from Ericsson after having infringed patents.
The ban on Xiaomi is lifted till January 8th, which means Xiaomi will have to stop selling handsets after that.

** Resuming sales in India **
Dear Mi fans,
Last week, we were forced to suspend sales in India due to an order passed by the Delhi High Court. Thanks for the overwhelming support so many of you have shown to Mi India in response to that!
We are happy to announce that the Delhi High Court today issued a ruling in our favor, allowing us to resume sales in India subject to certain terms.
The good news is that Redmi 1S is coming back next week and we’ll be having our next sale on Tuesday, December 23. Registration will open shortly — keep an eye on the Mi India page for details!
We will also be resuming sales of Redmi Note shortly, with the 4G model this time. More details on that very soon, stay tuned!
