CES 2015 : Alcatel Announce One Touch Hero 2C Smartphone and One Touch Watch
Alcatel announced One Touch Hero 2C smartphone and the
One Touch Watch at the Ongoing CES 2015, Las Vegas.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero 2C features a 6-inch full
HD display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with Adreno 305 GPU
and runs Android KitKat 4.4 out of the box. Camera features include
13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The handset will
be backed by 3,400mAH battery. Rest of the specification of the device is not
known as of now.
Alcatel One Touch Hero 2C will be available in Latin
America followed by other regions. The price of the handset is yet to be known.
Coming to the One Touch Watch, the Watch is compatible
with devices running Android 4.3 or above and iOS 7 or higher. The Watch lets
users track their sleep cycle, steps covered and calories burned with its
heart-rate monitor, accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter, vibration and
e-compass sensors. The watch provides access to notification, social updates
and works as a remote control to music and capture photos when connected to
your smartphone. A companion app is needed , through which useres can control
which app notification is to be shown on the watch.
The One Touch Watch features a 1.22-inch circular
display and is powered by a STMicroelectronics STM429 SoC and backed by a
210mAh battery. The watch is IP67-certified for protection against dust and
water. Connectivity features include NFC and Bluetooth.
The Alcatel One Touch Watch will be available in
multiple strap variants - Sporty Dark Red/Volcano Back, Classic Chrome/Dark
Gray, All-white and Metal-white. There is no details on the availability and
price of the watch, but engadget reports that it will go on sale in March for
$150 (Rs. 9,000)
