Huawei P8max with 6.8-inch display announced
In addition to the Huawei P8, the company also announced an oversize version of the flagship device dubbed Huawei P8max.
The Huawei P8max sports an all-metal aluminium unibody with 6.8mm thickness and is made with integrated magnesium alloy (high-performance metal used for advanced aviation construction).
The Huawei P8max features 6.8-inch (1920x1080 pixels) FHD display with Content Adaptive Backlight Control (CABC) that offers brilliant viewing angles and sharper images.
It is powered by 64-bit octa-core 2.2GHz Hisilicon Kirin processor paired with Mali-T628 MP4 GPU and 3GB RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 on top.
Camera features include 13-megapixels auto focus rear camera with OIS, RGBW sensor, dual-LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. It comes equipped with a low light shooting feature and a double-color temperature flash, which can take clear and captivating pictures, even under the night sky.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 802.11 WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. The sensors suite include Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Gyroscope, Compass, Hall sensors
The smartphone is backed by 4360mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 15 hours of video playback and more than sixty hours of audio playback.
The Huawei P8max also comes in two versions - standard and premium. The standard version come with a price tag of €549 while the premium version is priced €649. The Huawei P8max will launch in 30 countries about a month after the P8.
