Micromax Canvas Selfie Lens with Clip on wide-angle lens launched for Rs. 8,299

Micromax introduced a new phone which is geared towards taking selfies dubbed Canvas Selfie lens. It comes with a clip-on 0.4 wide-angle lens that can be used with the front as well as rear camera. The company stresses that the clip allows users to click better selfies.

The Micromax Canvas Selfie Lens features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood there is an 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. The phone comes with 8GB internal storage, further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Camera features include 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, Largan Lens and Sony sensor. On the front there is a 5-megapixel shooter with Largan lens and OmniVision sensor. It features presets and filters settings for taking photos including a face beauty mode, skin smoothening, sharpening and eye enlargement.

Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB and GPS. A 2800mAh battery fuels the Canvas Selfie Lens which can deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and 374 hours of standby time. It comes in White and Champagne or Moondust Grey exteriors.

The Micromax Canvas Selfie Lens is priced at Rs. 8,299 and will be available via online and offline stores. It comes with 500MB of free 3G data free for the first two months for Vodafone subscribers.
