The Galaxy A8 is official, Samsung's thinnest phone to date

Samsung's highly anticiapated smartphone, the Galaxy A8 has finally gone official in China. It sports a full metal uni-body design and has ultra-narrow bezels. With a waistline of just 5.9mm, the Galaxy A8 is Samsung's slimmest smartphone to date.

Samsung Galaxy A8 features 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 615 octa-core (1.5GHz Quad A53 + 1.0GHz Quad A53) processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. It offers 16GB/32GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and has a fingerprint scanner on the home button.


Camerawise, it sports 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and 5-megapixel front shooter for taking selfies with 120 degrees wide-angle lens. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS/GLONASS. It is fueled by 3050mAh battery and comes in Black, White and Gold colors.

Samsung is yet to reveal the the price and availability details of the Galaxy A8.
