Asus outs RT-AC5300 Tri-Band wireless Router, claims it to be the fastest
Asus at IFA 2015, announced a new router, the RT-AC5300 Tri-Band wireless Router which the company claims to be the world’s fastest WiFi router.
RT-AC5300 come with Broadcom NitroQAM chip that offers up to 1000Mbit/s on 2.4GHz band and up to 1267Mbits/s on two 5GHz bands each, for a combines speeds of up to 5334Mbit/s. The four 4 transmit and four receive antenna configuration improves WiFi range and signal with a coverage of up to 500 square meters. The router has four gigabit LAN ports, USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 port on the back.
It also comes with tri-band Smart Connect, which ensures that each device is assigned automatically to the most appropriate band for maximum speed and ability. The Multi-user MIMO (MU MIMO) offers maximum speeds without slowing down the network when multiple devices are connected. There is also a link aggregation (802.11ad) which combines two LAN ports into one superfast 2Gbit/s wired connection.
Pricing and availability details are yet to be announced.
