Google Nexus 6P with all-metal body is now official


Google has unveiled the Huawei made Nexus 6P smartphone. It is a metal-made phone, built of aircraft-grade aluminum and is just 7.1mm thick.

Google Nexus 6P features5.7-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and is equipped with octa-core Snapdragon 810 (4 x 1.5GHz ARM A53 + 4 x 1.8GHz ARM 57) 64-bit processor with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB RAM. It comes in 32GB, 64GB or 128 storage variant, with no option for storage expansion.

For imaging there is 12.3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.55µm pixels and smartburst. It is capable of recording 4K videos and slow-motion video at 240 fps. on the front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with 1.4µm pixels and f/2.4 aperture.

Nexus 6P runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (dual-band) Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C connectivity. It is fueled by 3450mAh battery. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back called 'Nexus Imprint' for secured lock and payments using Android pay. It  recognizes a fingerprint in less than 1/600milliseconds.

Google Nexus 6P comes in Aluminum, Graphite and Frost White colors, and is priced at $499 (Rs. 33,000) for the 32GB model, $549 (Rs. 36,000) for 64GB and $649 (Rs. 43,000) for the 128GB storage model. It will be available for pre-order via Google Store in the U.S, UK, Ireland and Japan starting today and the shipping begins sometime in October.
