LG Class with metal body, 8MP front camera announced

LG has officially unveiled 'Class', its new mid-range smartphone in South Korea. The phone has a metal body and comes with curved glass design offering a 3D effect. It also has a powerful loudspeaker with 1W (watt) output that promises a clear sound.

The LG Class features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is equipped with 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 2TB. It runs Android Lollipop (version not detailed).

For imaging, it sport 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front facing camera for taking selfies. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. It is fueled by 2050mAh battery. The device weighs 142 x 71.8 x 7.4mm, weighs 147g and comes in Blue Black, Gold and Silver colors. 

The LG Class is priced at 399300 Won ($340 | Rs. 22,500) and will be available in South Korea via major carriers, SK Telecom, LG U+ and KT starting today. There is no word on its global availability.
