Chinese smartphone maker Meizu has sent out invites for product launch event in India scheduled for May 11. The invite doesn't mention what will be launched at the event, but the image used in the invite directs towards the launch of m3 note.

To recap Meizu unveiled the m3 note in China earlier this month. The phone sports a premium metal unibody design and has mTouch 2.0 home button which doubles as fingerprint scanner. The m3 note specs include 5.5-inch 1080p display, octa-core Helio P10 SoC, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Hybrid dual SIM slot and a massive 4100mAh battery. It runs Flyme OS 5.1 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

In China, the Meizu m3 note costs CNY 799 (Rs. 8,000) for 2GB + 16GB storage model, and CNY 999 (Rs. 10,000) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model. To recall the meizu m2 note was launched in India for Rs. 9,999. Considering the factors, the m3 note could be priced between Rs. 9,000-Rs. 11,000 in the country.

The Meizu m3 Note will be up against Xiaomi's Redmi Note 3 and LeEco's Le 1s, which currently are selling like hot cakes in the country. In addition, LeEco has scheduled an event for May 3, and if the company decides to launch the Le 2 and Le 2 pro in the country, the competition will get more intense.
