Xiaomi Mi NoteBook live photo surfaces, Redmi Pro teased by CEO


Over the weekend, renders and specifications of Xiaomi's first laptop, the Mi NoteBook hit the interwebs. The Mi NoteBook is expected to be unveiled alongside the Redmi Pro smartphone at an event in China on July 27. Now just a day before the event, first live photo of the laptop have surfaced.

As per the leaked live photo, Mi NoteBook will sport a slim metal body and have USB Type-C port on the side. Earlier rumors have suggested that Mi NoteBook will arrive in two models: a standard model with Intel Core i5-6200U processor w/ Intel HD 520 graphics, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at CNY 3999 ($600 | Rs. 40,000); 

A top end "Pro" model with 15.6-inch display, Core i7-6700HQ processor w/ Intel HD Graphics 530, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M graphics, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD priced at CNY 6699 ($1000 | Rs. 68,000).

Additionally, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shared an image of him holding the Redmi Pro. The Redmi Pro seen in the photo has metal-unibody design, dual-rear cameras and fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi has already confirmed that Redmi Pro will pack deca-core Helio X25 SoC and an OLED display. 

As for the other specs, rumors suggest 5.5-inch 1080p OLED display, 4GB RAM, 64GB / 128GB storage, 12MP dual (Sony IMX260 / ISOCELL S5K2L1) rear camera, dual-SIM slots, Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8, fingerprint scanner (at back) and 3700mAh battery.
