Honor 5 with 5-inch display, 2GB RAM announced
In addition to Honor Note 8, Honor also introduced a new budget smartphone dubbed Honor 5 in China. The phone comes with dial-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE support and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 Lite on top.
It sports a button on the left side which can be configured to launch apps, camera, flashlight and more with long press or double press.
The Honor 5 features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor coupled with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be increased via microSD card (up to 128GB).
It gets 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera accompanied by LED flash. For connectivity, there's 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS support. It is fueled by 2200mAh battery.
Priced at CNY 599 ($90 | Rs. 6,000), the Honor 5 comes in Black, White, Gold colors, and will go on sale in China starting August 2.
