Honor launches Honor 8 Smart in India at Rs. 19,999

Apart form Honor 8, Honor also launched Honor 8 Smart, a variant of Honor 8 with single rear camera and toned down specs.

The Honor 8 Smart sports a metal unibody design and has a finerprint scanner at the back.  The handset has 5.2-inch 1080p display and is armed with octa-core Kirin 650 processor with Mali T830 GPU, 2GB RAM, alongside a 16GB inbuilt storage with microSD card support

For photography, it gets 13MP Sony IMX214 rear camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. The front facing camera is 8MP. It runs Android Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top and supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g,n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS. It is backed by 3000mAh battery, which is rated to delvier 1.3 days of battery life even with heavy use.

Even though it offers mid-range specs, the Honor 8 smart has been priced much higher at Rs. 19,999, and will receive stiff competition from Moto G4 Plus, Lenovo Z2 Plus, Redmi Note 3, and LeEco's Le Max 2 and Le 2. All of these phones offer better specs at a lower price tag between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 18,000.  

The Honor 8 Smart comes in Black, White and Gold color and will be available in the coming days via Amazon India, Flipkart and Honor Stores online, and major retail stores across the country.
