Android Nougat hits 0.3 percent adoption, Marshmallow at 24 percent
It's time once again. After skipping October Google has released its latest Android platform distribution number for the month of November. Android Nougat, which officially released over two months ago has finally made its debut.
According to the latest number Android Nougat is now running on 0.3 percent of all active Android devices. This is no surprise, since only Google's Pixel (Pixel, Pixel XL and Pixel C), Android One and Nexus devices currently run Android Nougat.
However, that will change in the coming months, as Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC, Sony and Huawei have planned roll out of Android Nougat to their devices.
Interestingly Android Marshmallow also made it to Android's distribution list in November (2015) with 0.3 percent share. Currently it is running on 24 percent of all active device, up from 18.7 percent in September.
Android Lollipop (5.0 and 5.1) still holds the crown and is now active on 34.1 percent of devices, but is down from 35 percent share it had in September, while KitKat stands at 25.2 percent, down from 27.7 percent in September
Jelly Bean is at 13.7 percent, Ice Cream Sandwich 1.3 percent, and Gingerbread 1.3 percent. Froyo stubbornly stays at 0.1 percent
