Honor 8 Lite debuts in Finland, toned down Honor 8 version running Nougat
Earlier this month Huawei launched the P8 Lite 2017 with a Honor 8 like premium metal and glass design with mid-range specs. Now the same phone has been released in Finland as Honor 8 Lite.
The Honor 8 Lite appears be a toned down version of Honor 8 with single camera, less processing power and storage. However, it runs the latest Android Nougat based EMUI 5.0.
Similar to Huawei P8 Lite 2017, the Honor 8 2017 features 5.2-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display and octa-core Kirin 655 processor, the same used in Honor 5X. It comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.
The camera department includes 12MP single camera (w/ LED flash) at the back instead of dual 12MP cameras found on Honor 7. On the front it gets 8MP shooter for snapping selfies and video calling. Connectivity options on-board are hybrid-dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 3000mAh battery keeps the lights on, and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner round off the spec sheet.
The Honor 8 Lite is now available for pre-order in Finland and will go on sale starting February 17 for 269 Euros ($290 | Rs. 20,000) in gold, black, blue and white hues.
