Xiaomi is expanding its tablet-line up with the addition of Mi Pad 3. The company's new tablet is listed on the compay's official website in China, and is the successor of Mi Pad 3, which was unveiled back in November 2015.

The Mi Pad 3 has the same design as its predecessor including the dimensions, and retains the display size as well. The tablet sports 6.9mm slim Champagne Gold full metal body, and weighs slightly higher at 328g (vs 322g).

Like the Mi Pad 2, the Mi Pad 3 sports a 9.7-inch display bearing the resolution 2048 x 1536. However, it gets a new processor. The Mi Pad 2 was equipped with an Intel chip, but the new Mi Pad 3 is powered by MediaTek's MT8176 hexa-core 28nm processor which is backed by PowerVR GX6250 GPU.

The tablet comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 13MP f/2.2 rear camera (w/ 1080p video recording) and 5MP f/2.0 front camera. It supports Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi 802.11ac, USB Type-C port for connectivity and is fueled by 6600mAh battery, that promises up to 12 hours of video playback up to 867 hours (36 days) of standby time.

Also the Mi Pad 3 will be available only in Android flavor, which is Marshmallow based MIUI 8. To recall, the Mi Pad 2 was offered in Android or Windows 10 version.

The Mi Pad 3 is priced at CNY 1499 ($217 | Rs. 14,000), and will be available starting April 6 in China through the company's official website, Jingdong Mall (JD.com) and Suning.
