Nokia 9 with dual-rear cameras surface in live photos

Multiple reports in the past have suggested that Nokia is working on a flagship smartphone with high-end specs, allegedly called the Nokia 9. Now a set of live images of the Nokia 9 has hit the interwebs, revealing details about its design and specs.

The Nokia 9 seen in the images are said to be prototype model, and is hidden inside a case, but its does show the key physical part of the device. In line with previous rumors, the image shows the rear-facing dual-camera setup in vertical position of the Nokia 9. The dual-rear cameras, are aided by an LED flash and laser auto-focus. The smartphone also has two capacitive buttons, and in-between a physical home button, which is most likely to hide the fingerprint sensor. And at the bottom, there's 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port.

As per the source, the Nokia 9 will feature 5.3-inch QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 8MP front camera, and wil run Android Nougat out of the box. The dual-cameras at the back are said to be 13MP units, that will offer monochrome view, color view or a snapshot using both sensors.

It is rumored to carry a price tag of $700 (Rs. 45,000). There's no way to confirm the authenticity of the leak, so it is advised to take them with a grain of salt.

That said, Nokia has previously confirmed that it will launch a high-end flagship later this year. Nokia's resurrected portfolio currently includes the Nokia 3310 feature phone, which has already hit many markets globally, and the yet to be released Android budget smartphone, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 (Out of the three, the Nokia 6 is already available in China and select Asian countries)
